Have you ever tried to cut your son's hair? What seems to be a simple task is not, at all. Just sit the child in a chair, take the comb and scissors, so that everything becomes an impossible mission. What a difficulty! Children do not stay still for a moment, and the fear you give them to hurt them makes you give up and take them to the nearest hairdresser.
When they are very small, that is, before the first year of life, there are babies who do not need to cut the hair at all. To others, you can make an arrangement, quietly. After the first year, the baby who is already beginning to walk and to be more aware of what is happening around him makes life impossible for those who want to cut his hair. To many mothers, it gives a real 'panic' to the scissors or the razor.
How to cut children's hair?
Some children between 1 and 3 years can still be calmer in a hairdresser, but there are others, from this age, that neither putting them in a chair with car format or distracting them with candy, magazines, and books, they stay still. The only solution is to cut their hair at home, a mission that simply has nothing. How to cut children's hair? According to the ideas we received from some mothers who collaborate with our magazine, we can patiently, courageously and skillfully cut their children's hair, following some steps:
1- Present the electric hair trimmer or the scissor to your child, so that they become familiar with these devices, lose their fear and gain more confidence.
2- Do not give up in case the child starts crying or screaming. Let him cry. When you stop, then explain what you are going to do.
3- Play with the noise that the razor makes. Let the child get used to the sounds and do not get scared. My suggestion is to choose a Xiaomi Hair Clipper which will not produce noise. It is very suitable to be used to cut children’ s hair.
4- When cutting hair, it is convenient to keep the child's attention in another object or activity. Give him, for example, a book with illustrations, some cookies, or give him a movie that he likes.
5- To start cutting children's hair it is advisable to moisten and unravel it. It is easier later to do the work.
6- Begin to cut the hair always from the bottom up, separating the strands horizontally and holding the top hair with a tweezer, and cutting the tips little by little, about half a centimeter.
7- When finished cutting the tips, comb the child to see if there is any longer tip without cutting and you're done!
